Overview
The Rupal Face Trek approaches Nanga Parbat from its southern side through the scenic Rupal Valley in Astore District. The Rupal Face rises approximately 4572m from the valley floor, creating the greatest vertical rise from base to summit of any peak on Earth. Easy trails and two short non-technical glacier crossings bring trekkers directly beneath this massive wall for breathtaking close-up views. The route can optionally continue to Mazino Pass (5400m) for the most challenging and rewarding panorama.
