The K2 Base Camp Trek is widely considered the greatest trek on earth. K2 (8,611m) is the second highest mountain in the world. The approach trek takes you through the Baltoro Glacier — one of the world's longest glaciers outside the polar regions — to Concordia, the throne room of the mountain gods, where K2, Broad Peak, and four of the eight-thousanders are visible simultaneously.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrive Skardu
Briefing. Equipment check.
Day 2 — Skardu to Askole
Drive + jeep, 3–4 hrs. Last village before the Karakoram wilderness.
Day 3 — Askole → Jhola Camp
5–6 hrs. Cross the Braldu River suspension bridge.
Day 4 — Jhola → Paiyu
5–6 hrs. Dramatic views of Paiyu Peak.
Day 5 — Rest day at Paiyu
Acclimatization. Day hike to Paiyu La viewpoint.
Day 6 — Paiyu → Liligo
5–6 hrs. Enter the Baltoro Glacier.
Day 7 — Liligo → Urdukas
4–5 hrs. Urdukas meadow — last green camp.
Day 8 — Urdukas → Gore I
5–6 hrs on the glacier moraine.
Day 9 — Gore I → Concordia
5–6 hrs. Arrive at 4,600m. K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV visible.
Day 10 — Rest day at Concordia
Acclimatization walks.
Day 11 — Concordia → K2 Base Camp
4 hrs, 5,150m. Return to Concordia.
Day 12 — Optional Broad Peak / Gasherbrum BC
Optional add-on day.
Day 13–18 — Return trek
Concordia → Gore I → Urdukas → Liligo → Paiyu → Jhola → Askole.
Day 19 — Askole → Skardu
Jeep drive. Celebration dinner.
Day 20 — Rest in Skardu
Optional hot baths, massage, city walk.
Day 21 — Fly or drive to Islamabad
Trek ends.

This is a demanding 20-day trek at extreme altitude. Prior high-altitude trekking experience (above 4,000m) is required. Altitude sickness protocol is strictly followed throughout.
