Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Skardu
Fly (55 min) or drive via KKH (12–14 hrs). Evening walk along the Indus.
Day 2 — Skardu City Sightseeing
Kharpocho Fort, Skardu Bazaar and Satpara Lake.
Day 3 — Shangrila & Kachura Lakes
Lower Kachura (Shangrila Resort) boat ride. Afternoon at Upper Kachura Lake.
Day 4 — Shigar Valley
Visit the restored 400-year-old Shigar Fort Palace and the traditional Balti village of Shigar.
Day 5 — Deosai National Park (Day 1)
Cross Burji La Pass into the plateau. Look for Himalayan brown bears, wolves, and golden eagles. Overnight at Deosai.
Day 6 — Sheosar Lake + Return to Skardu
Morning at Sheosar Lake (4,142m). Drive back to Skardu via a different route.
Day 7 — Satpara Lake + Manthal Rock Carvings
Visit the 7th-century Buddhist carvings. Farewell dinner.
Day 8 — Return to Islamabad
Fly or drive back to Islamabad.
