Phander Lake is one of Pakistan's most beautiful yet undervisited gems. Located in the Ghizer (Gizer) Valley — sometimes called the 'Scotland of Pakistan' — Phander is a long, turquoise glacial lake surrounded by golden poplar trees in autumn and wildflower meadows in summer.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad → Gilgit
Flight or drive via KKH. Overnight Gilgit.
Day 2 — Gilgit → Gahkuch → Gupis
Drive along the Ghizer River.
Day 3 — Gupis → Phander Lake
Full day at the lake: boat ride, walks, photography, village visit.
Day 4 — Optional Shandur Pass
2 hrs from Phander. World's highest polo ground.
Day 5 — Return to Gilgit and Islamabad
Fly or drive back.
