The Karakoram Highway (KKH) is often called the 'Eighth Wonder of the World.' Built over 20 years by 15,000 Pakistani and Chinese workers, it runs 1,300 km from Islamabad to the Chinese border at Khunjerab Pass (4,693m). Traveling the full KKH is a bucket-list journey.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad
Arrival, briefing, overnight.
Day 2 — Islamabad → Besham
Via Taxila Museum visit. ~350 km.
Day 3 — Besham → Chilas
Shatial rock carvings stop. ~200 km.
Day 4 — Chilas → Gilgit
Rakaposhi viewpoint. ~130 km. Gilgit city exploration.
Day 5 — Gilgit → Karimabad, Hunza
Altit Fort visit.
Day 6 — Karimabad Sightseeing
Baltit Fort, Eagle's Nest viewpoint, bazaar.
Day 7 — Attabad Lake + Passu Cones
Boat ride and dramatic cathedral-like rock spires.
Day 8 — Passu → Khunjerab Pass
Border visit, Marco Polo sheep, snow leopards. Return to Sost.
Day 9 — Hunza → Gilgit → Chilas
Return drive south.
Day 10 — Chilas → Islamabad
Arrive evening. Tour ends.
