Overview
The Gandhara Civilization Tour uncovers the lost treasures of ancient Buddhist history across Taxila, Swat, Peshawar and the Khyber Pass. The Gandhara civilization flourished from 500 BCE to the 10th century AD and was the centre point for Buddhism, spreading east to Korea and Japan. The finest remains of Gandhara art are preserved in the museums of Peshawar, Taxila and Swat, while archaeological sites like Takht-i-Bahi, Saidu Stupa and the rock carvings of Gilgit reveal a civilisation of extraordinary spiritual power and artistry.
