Overview
Fairy Meadows (locally called Joot) is a breathtaking alpine meadow at 3,300m with one of the most spectacular views on earth — the towering Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the 9th highest mountain in the world. The meadow is reached by a thrilling jeep ride on one of the world's most dangerous roads, followed by a scenic hike through pine forests.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Chilas
Drive north along KKH through Besham and Dasu. ~350 km / 7–8 hrs.
Day 2 — Chilas to Fairy Meadows
Jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tato village (1.5–2 hrs), then a 3-hour hike to Fairy Meadows. First views of Nanga Parbat.
Day 3 — Fairy Meadows / Optional Base Camp Trek
Sunrise on Nanga Parbat. Optional 6-hour return hike to Rakhiot Base Camp at 3,600m.
Day 4 — Fairy Meadows to Chilas
Hike back down to Tato. Jeep to Raikot Bridge. Drive to Chilas.
Day 5 — Chilas to Islamabad
Return drive along the KKH to Islamabad.
