The Deosai National Park is one of the highest plateaus on earth, averaging 4,114m in elevation. Spanning over 3,000 sq km, it is a vast undulating landscape of alpine meadows, glacial rivers, and pristine lakes — home to the endangered Himalayan brown bear, snow leopard, wolves, and hundreds of wildflower species.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1 — Skardu to Deosai (via Bara Pani)

    Climb to Deosai via Burji La Pass. Stop at Bara Pani — frequent brown bear sightings. Overnight Deosai (~4,000m).

  2. Day 2 — Sheosar Lake + Wildlife Safari

    Morning at Sheosar Lake. Afternoon slow jeep drive across the plateau looking for brown bears.

  3. Day 3 — Astore Valley (Optional) + Exploration

    Optional drive to Astore side or further wildlife walks. Return to Skardu.

  4. Day 4 — Departure from Skardu

    Free morning. Depart for Islamabad (flight or drive).
