Overview

Borith Lake is a high-altitude brackish lake in the Gojal region of upper Hunza, situated at approximately 2600m near the village of Gulmit. The lake is a haven for migratory birds, including Himalayan ibex and waterfowl, and is surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Karakoram including Batura and Passu Sar. A short walk from the Karakoram Highway, Borith Lake offers a peaceful retreat with views of the Passu Cathedral and Batura Glacier.
