Overview
Satrangi Lake — meaning 'Seven Colours' — is one of the most visually extraordinary alpine lakes in Pakistan, located in the mountains above Kachura area near Skardu. The lake gets its name from the remarkably diverse colours its water takes on throughout the day — from deep turquoise and emerald to violet and midnight blue — due to the unique mineral composition of the glacial meltwater and the changing light angles.
