Overview
Rainbow Lake — known locally as Satrangi Lake — is the crown jewel of the Naltar Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,700 metres in the high alpine terrain above Naltar Village. The lake earns its name from the remarkable spectrum of colours its waters display — from deep cobalt and sapphire near the centre to pale turquoise and mint green at the edges.
